Dove Cottage is a vacation rental located in Ashe County near the quaint town of West Jefferson. Nestled on the banks of the New River and just minutes from the famous River House restaurant, this well-appointed cottage is the perfect romantic getaway for two or great for a small family.

The porch offers plenty of seating for watching the river go by and a charcoal grill. Inside, the living area is open and airy with comfortable seating and a TV with DVD for watching movies. The bright and cheery kitchen is great for preparing a quick meal. The bedrooms both contain 4-poster, queen-size beds, and one has a window seat.

Whether you come for a week or just a weekend, you will enjoy fishing, canoeing or tubing the New River from Dove Cottage. Bring your own canoe or kayak or rent one from an area outfitter. Four tubes are provided but require a $75 security deposit and signing a waiver. Unlike many “riverfront” cabins, our bank slopes gently to the river edge, and boats or tubes can be launched easily.
